A Rumba Box Basic

The Rumba Box is named after the square or "box" shape your steps make on the floor. It consists of six steps—three for the leader and three for the follower—repeated in a cycle.


🕺 Gentleman’s Steps:

Left Foot Forward - Side - Close Feet, Shift Weight. Back on the Right - Side, Close - Switch Weight and Repeat


💃 Lady’s Steps:

Right Foot Back - Side - Close Feet, Shift Weight. Forward on the Left, Side, Close - Switch Weight and Repeat


⏱️ Timing:

The Rumba uses "Slow, Quick, Quick"

Slow = 2 counts

Quick = 1 count each
